Pastry Chef Sonya Michelle, owner of Sonya’s 2 Sweet 4 Words, LLC., love for baking began many years ago in home economics, a course unheard of these days.  Later in life, she started baking cookies to pay for her children’s professional music lesson. In a  short time, her menu expanded at the request of her customers and this hobby blossomed into a Pastry Arts Certification from Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. Prior to culinary school, she earned her Associates in Accounting, a Bachelor’s in Organizational Management.
 

Chef Sonya is not only passionate about baking but Not-for-Profit work as well. She is  determined to use her gifts and education to give back to those in need.  For many years, she served as Jacksonville, FL Chapter Organizer for Birthday Cakes 4 Free, organizing volunteer bakers and donation requests.  She dedicates her time to teach teens and pre-teens the art of baking.  She is now in partnership with V for Victory Non Profit by donating cakes to cancer patients, survivors and their families. At the start of 2023, she has reduced her baking load and has devoted her time to teaching other bakers new techniques.
